Black Knight is Real

Below is the image from Wikipedia as shown on their website. This photo was apparently taken by NASA in the late 1990s. You can read about it on the website.

There are several non-technical reasons why this is not a floating blanket accidentally released on a previous space mission. First and foremost is that it simply does not look like a blanket.  A floating blanket does not retain right angles nor does it have two straight side surfaces directly oriented up in the image.  Whoever took the picture automatically focused on this orientation and made the top let upper edge straight up.  Of course, the earth curvature outside above the image probably played a roll in the photographer orientation. The second image below emphasizes this point.

In spite of many who think space is empty, it is definitely not.  There are so many charged particles that sound can be transmitted via the charged particles using electromagnetic forces instead of molecular collisions we experience on earth. So, it is not likely the Black Knight would retain its features without changing over relatively short time periods. With the number of pictures online, the look of the Black Knight has not changed in perhaps decades.

In the obvious shuttle picture below, one can see that the tail span is 78 feet so even if the Black Knight was very near, it would be quite large.  But likely they would not let the shuttle get within miles of something that unknown so it is likely a lot bigger than people tend to imagine. This photo with the shuttle flat to the earth surface indicates the altitude of the Black Knight is roughly similar to typical shuttle missions.


 

The first image above was imported into photo management software to alter the contrast, color balance and other features multiple times in order to find features not readily observable in just one adjustment. These manipulations were too many to show them all so just these two images are shown here.

The image above clearly shows what appears to be something like a microwave transmitter/receiver on the upper left.  That is mentioned here because the other image doesn’t show this side nor that protrusion nearly as well. We know earth is up because the shuttle can only see up from the cockpit depicted here on the right. Note that the Black Knight top right side is exactly aligned towards earth as the shuttle is on the right image.

The image below is essentially a summary of many images from ACAD. This image highlights several angular features which have an amazing bit of mathematics involved with their creation. The design criteria are not simple and may turn away some readers, but an effort has been made to make it as palatable as possible. The key thought is to think of this thing as a communications device and very likely that it in fact is what many have written about as some type of reconnaissance device. Keep in mind that up in the image is actual down towards the earth.  So, the top left angle is directed at earth. This was the first feature developed mathematically.


 

The details are repeated in the Mathcad model below. The top left yellow dashed lines are the input for x and y and the two formulae produce zbn for the common solution below. Nobody expects the ACAD data to be accurate to seven digits but they were luckily more accurate than anticipated.

The number that was being modeled is the hydrogen hyperfine frequency of 1.420405751889 provided by a simple formula discussed on other blogs and not related to measured calculations which tend to hover closer to 1.4204057517 +/- a couple numbers in the last digit.  This is a really precise number used particularly in astronomy. So why would we be interested in a number that is different in the 5th digit?


 

It turns out we have long used this frequency to measure whether a distant lit object is coming towards our sun or moving away because of differences due to the Doppler Effect. If you have been stopped on the Hiway due to a railroad crossing and are waiting for the train to pass, you will note that the pitch of the train horn is higher on the approaching side and drops in pitch as it passes in front of you. If the hydrogen hyperfine frequency is being emitted from a star coming towards the sun, it will have a higher pitch and if moving away, a lower pitch. And since stars tend to be mostly hydrogen, that particular frequency is quite common and far more precise than visible light frequencies.

Perhaps most readers will not immediately see the significance of this design criteria. First, it can easily be found by using dimensionless ratios such as x/y and the conjugate ratio of (x+y)/(x-y).  No matter what units the lines are measured in, they cancel out and will remain the same ratio thru all measuring systems. My contribution is that I recognized that (x/y 5) = 8.2xxxx taken to the 1/6th power is usually close to 1.420. There are not that many options to make dimensionless ratios so these are the likely ones to try.

Black Knight Builders?

Some have written they thought the Black Knight signals create a pattern consistent with the Boötes constellation. This would take our sluggish scientists some expertise in astronomy to confirm and so far they are hiding in the closet somewhere.  However, in secondary research from the University of Victoria, there is evidence that this constellation, on average, is moving towards our sun at about 13 +/- 2 km/sec. Without more data, it cannot be confirmed if the 27.412 km/sec star actually exists. Perhaps there are other hints from the Black Knight design criteria.

How to Size the Black Knight

Short of somebody flying a known object up close to the Black Knight so we have a basis for measurements, there is another way that may provide at least a good estimate. If we have two ratios, we are fairly sure about from the dimensionless analysis above, we might set one dimension to some known value and see if the other dimension results in something communicative and somehow linked to each other.

In the spreadsheet below, the number 201.0881651 was selected to make the 0.341796709 become (e-1)*40 where e= 1.718281828 + 1, the natural log base. If this is what the design wants, then the 0.561708067 should become something meaningful.

Note that the formula for the spreadsheet result shown top left uses only multiples of 10 to reach a very significant result. If we get used to thinking of things as frequencies, we can use this number along with the scale factor result for the first dimension to set up a Doppler calculation shown at 14.99032656 km/sec.  Also, this makes the overall lengths of the Black Knight measured in ACAD at 1.351786 become natural log base times 100 or 271.8381828 feet. This seems feasible with pictures taken at considerable distance.


 It is strongly suggested that for any life form to negotiate travel throughout our galaxy, there must be some way for ships to cover major distances such as worm holes as suggested by Einstein nearly a century ago. While these ships could have a design such that entrance into the portal causes the collapse of space and time, that is not necessarily true for electromagnetic signals. It may not be possible to send signals huge distances quickly.

Therefore, the Black Knight may not be a reconnaissance device for distant advanced civilizations, but merely a gift to developing earth humans to measure important aspects of our solar system when we finally achieve sufficient development to understand what the design is doing. If that is the case, we are wasting precious time awaiting our careful and tedious study of what the Black Knight is measuring and broadcasting to us. We would be well advised to get started before China does.

Perhaps someone like Elon Musk could take on the study and handle it in a much more professional manner than any government. There needs to be a close flyby with laser scanning equipment to get a precise measurement in all directions. Building a 3D model might be a very good idea. He who cracks the code, likely mathematical, will reap the highest rewards.
